Aesthetic treatments are also known as cosmetic injectables. They include procedures which will the signs of ageing as well as rejuvenating skin.

Without a doubt, the most popular are Botox injections and dermal fillers.

From topical medical-grade skincare products to injectables and thread lifts, a broad definition of facial treatments encompasses a wide range of options.

As well as combating the causes of ageing, the treatments give a natural and fresher look to your face. Undoubtably, this is a better option than surgery.

Aesthetic treatment is considered safe for any part of the body, with the most common areas being the face, neck, jowls and décolletage.

Furthermore, aesthetic treatments are also medical treatments. These include to prevent excessive sweating, remove pigmentation, treat acne, scars, skin tags, moles and improve appearance of veins.

It is important to note that there is a distinction between Anti-wrinkle aesthetic treatments involving botulinum toxin or Botox and dermal filler injections.

Both reduce the appearance of wrinkles, however they work slightly differently.

Dermal filler literally ‘fills’ the wrinkle, in contrast to anti wrinkle treatment, which relaxes the muscles which cause the wrinkles.

Differing uses for fillers include the lips, cheeks, nose to mouth lines, temples and under eyes. Practitioners can use aesthetic treatments along with botulinum toxin in the same areas.

Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are an injectable treatment, similarly to dermal fillers they do have HA in them and are injected more superficially to hydrate and nourish the skin. Examples are mesotherapy cocktails and Profhilo.

In a Skin assessment I take a look at your skin and identify what you use at home. Following this, I will be able to tell you if it is beneficial or not.

Naturally derived acids speed up, stimulate, or remove unwanted skin cells in chemical peels. Chemical peels have various types and strengths and will treat many skin problems including acne.

Microneedling is an aesthetic treatment using tiny little needles to stimulate skin cells. In addition to improving sun damage and uneven skin, cell stimulation will also address pores, scars, and stretch marks.

Transforming the anti ageing industry: Discover the PDO Thread Lift

We may use different kinds of threads to lift any part of the face. Namely, the forehead, cheeks, jowls, jawline, neck. In addition, practitioners use them to treat body areas. Body treatments, include knees, elbows and I am regularly performing breast lifts.

The threads are made of polydioxanone (PDO). PDO Threads help the skin produce more collagen and are dissolve over time.

Threads can either be smooth (monos) which improve skin texture. Other PDO’s are cogs these, in actual fact reposition tissue.
